These people I barely knew in our section were inviting people and I was all no, Jenny can't go and my other friends aren't going, plus they were leaving right after class, etc, etc. I was telling Jenny all this and she being her typical self just told me to get over it and go. Why not? She literally said "it's time to get out of your comfort zone" and when I realized how right she was, I decided to go.
I am so glad I did. I spent 3 nights getting drunk, partying, dancing, wandering around Vegas until 6 in the morning, and getting to know people that have been around me all year.
It was so liberating to just run off at the spur of the moment with people I didn't know.
Only in LA can you just drive on over to Vegas for the weekend. I am really starting to fall for this life.
I am so happy you went to Vegas! I think I'm going to buy tickets to Austin, TX for Spring Break -- I've never taken a trip outside of KV that wasn't Chicago or STL.

ReplyDeleteWhen my family lived in Whittier my mom and dad used to go to Vegas once a month or more. My dad was so good at craps that he could sometimes make enough money to fund my mom's shopping AND pay for their hotel room! FUN FUN FUN.
