If you are thinking of going to law school

Just stop now.
There are these devil assignments that make you question the steps you are taking in life. This semester we have to write an appellate brief, as opposed to last semester's memo, but before we can get started we have to make a research log. Sounds innocent enough. But it's not.
Everything about law school is initiation based. Hoop-jumping we call it.
-Well back in our day we had to search for information in books(sidenote: all this research can be done through Lexis or Westlaw now). The same books that every other first year student is trying to use. We should make all first years do that for the next 1000 years!-
This research log is a mere 60 points, yet to gain even half of those points it is required to do 20+hours of work. I have been working on this log for over a week now all day today and I'm not even close to being finished.
Plus throw in the competition of law school-you get book-hiding and book stealing.
Ah the beauty of trying to get ahead by cutting the rope after you've climbed your part of it.
On the bright side, I know where a lot of things in the library are now.
